After a 12-3 victory the previous week, it was high hopes for our game against Hampton and Richmond Development Team. With only the bare 11 and a few injuries we were looking at a challenging game against a young Hampton and Richmond side with plenty of subs.
Unfortunately we conceded again early and heads went down. Which followed by four more goals in the first half for Hampton. A chance came for us towards the end of the first half and Lisa Manley scored a great free-kick, which deflected off the wall and saw us get a chance to get back into the game. Following the goal we started to come alive and play some great football.
At half time, and after a chat from Dave, we came back on ready to give it our all in the second half. Unfortunately another chance fell to Hampton and Richmond, and they scored again leaving the final score 6-1.
Although we came away disappointed with the result, the effort in the second half, especially with no subs was superb.
