The Ladies first game of 2019 after not playing for over a mont was a cup game against Tower Hamlets first team. This was going to be a challenge.

But with a strong team selected it was end-to-end football with chances at both ends.

It took until the 24th minute for the deadlock to be broken, a great goal scored by Hannah E.

1-0 to the Borough and 10 minutes later Julie got around the keeper for 2-0. Great goal.

Tower Hamlets got one back with a header from a corner, but with half-time looming, Hannah L scored with a great solo effort.

Going in at half-time 3-1 had a great feeling to it.

In the second half Borough took a while to get back into the game, and were on the back foot for most of it. Tower hamlets seemed to work out how to break our formation.

Another corner by Tower Hamlets and they scored again. Borough managed to hold onto the lead and win the cup tie 3-2.

Great to get the win.
