The first game of the season playing one of the favourites and Wandsworth Ladies didn't disappoint.

After 40 minutes there was no score, but Wandsworth were the strongest team until South London Laces got a lucky goal to make it 1-0.

At halftime, a few changes were made and five minutes into the second half Francine crossed a great ball from the right into the path of Roxy to get her first goal of the season. 1-1.

Two minutes later Roxy got her second goal of the game after some great skill from Tara. She passed the ball to Roxy to slot home and make it 2-1.

Within one minute South London Laces scored again to pull level at 2-2.

Then Kirsty got a free kick and hit a great ball over the wall and the goalkeeper to retake the lead.

Five minutes later the Laces equalised and then pulled ahead to make it 5-3.

Then Kirsty got her second free-kick of the game. Another great ball swerved around the wall to pull one back. Wandsworth doing everything possible to salvage a point, but they just ran out of steam.

We took the positives from the game and move onto the next against Comets who are top of the league after winning 5-0 in their first game.
