Boro came from behind to maintain their unbeaten league campaign, having now taken seven points from the massive three games they’ve been able to play so far.
Max Gray marked his Wandsworth debut by side-footing an equaliser which cancelled out Dorking’s chipped opener.
Within a few minutes, Carl Remmer had curled a magnificent second into the top corner, giving Boro the lead going into half time.
The salvo turned the game on its head and, with the team now able to sit back, packing the defence and hitting Dorking on the break, it felt like it was simply going to be a case of playing out the second half and heading to the pub with three points.
Calamity struck, however, when November’s club player of the month Vinny Cibardo broke his toe in a collision with a teammate; although, as luck would have it, Jake Gordon was in the side as an outfield player so was able to step in and take the gloves.
Boro repelled the inevitable Dorking pressure without major incident until, with a few minutes left to play, Gray strode forward and took advantage of a gaping hole in the opposing defence to slot in his second of the game.
