EASY WIN AS LEAGUE PUSH BEGINS

With many players missing this week, the 5s laid out their most defensive line-up of the season with virtually five centre-halves in the squad.

In the end, it did not matter. The Boro started strongly, albeit at times overplaying in our own half on a boggy pitch. We soon went 2-0 up. The opposition got quickly frustrated given a somewhat contentious red card for an elbow in the back on Gustavo Valencia which only angered them further, they picked up another couple of cards throughout the course of the game.

After the red card, the Boro somewhat dropped their tempo before the break only to pick it up well in the second half. It was effectively a dead game and we ran out eventual 6-0 winners. It could and should have probably been double that but their keeper played very well.

A good win in the end albeit against bottom of the league. Just the 14 league games to go this season!
