5s AWAIT SUTTS OR 6s IN QUARTERS

Going into this game, confidence was not at the peak after last week's defeat (poet and I know it) so we had to re-group and face a relatively tough cup game against the OPs (sounds a bit like a sh*t gangster team). Andy made his hand look like the Michelin man pre-game so Coops took up the utility man (Gary Doherty role) and occupied the sticks.

Strong team this week and we went into the game looking up for it. Cal had a hat-full of chances in the early stages, unlike with that Ronaldo leap-esque header to feed me (Shaun Goater fans will know that) and it just went high, wide and not so handsome.

We then got the ball down and played some nice interchanges and got our goal. A cheeky floating ball from yours truly into the absolute stamina machine down the left Joe who took it like RVP and past the keeper. 1-0 and we are looking all over them.

Second half we started to look a little jaded and some of those Friday night beers looked to have kicked in and undeservedly they managed to grab an equaliser (not ideal).

Our man Pringle, once you pop the fun doesn't stop, had a real chance to make it 2-1 but sometimes that's the way it goes.

Struggling to get some composure we ended up taking the game to ET. Tempers flared and passions were running high, we moved into the last 30 minutes (legs are in tatters today) and we all pushed through. We dominated but just couldn't get a second goal to kill the game off, they had a contentious penalty decision but Tex stood terra firma and said no way Jose.

Finally, after 120 minutes of running around, we hit pens. Mark made a cracking save and we scored all our pens. 4-2 on pens, we will take that and march on to the 2nd Round.

All in all a solid performance and improvement on last week. Let's go smash it again next week. Match rating 7/10 for the fans.
